I am unapologetically one of those people who loves plants.
All the plants.
Big plants, medium plants, little plants, outside plants and inside plants.
I love them all.
There’s a reason I’m working at a garden center.
I recently learned that you can pot up dwarf mondo grass and keep it inside as a houseplant and I was really excited to learn this.
I love the look of mondo grass and we have flats of it at work in little three inch containers for people to buy and use as groundcover.
In my zone (Zone 7) it’s considered a tender perennial.
I decided to get one and plant it up in an empty terra cotta pot with some light well draining soil and then pop it in my bedroom window where it would get some indirect sunlight for a few hours a day. Mondo grasses outside like it fairly shady.
I water it 2 to 3 times a week with a little bit of water with a tray under it to catch any water that will leak out.
Because it is an outdoors groundcover, having it inside really makes it a statement piece. It’s absolutely adorable and a great addition to my plant collection.
Until Next Time
