Magical Makeup Brushes

Last year, magic wand makeup brushes took the beauty world by storm, with several companies making and selling them for outrageous prices.
People everywhere wanted to get their hands on these illusive brushes, but they were very hard to find.  I recently got a set of four makeup brushes that were inspired by the wands in the Harry Potter films from the company Hessler Customs.

One quick disclaimer before we get into this post– Hessler Customs is in no way affiliated with JK Rowling, or the Harry Potter franchise, even though the term “Harry Potter” is used to describe them–they’re simply a company that loves to create handmade, one-of-a-kind brushes that were inspired by the magical world in Harry Potter and are not meant to be exact replicas of any of the wands in the films.

With that disclaimer out of the way, let’s take a look at these beautiful brushes, which are perfect for any witch, wizard, or ordinary, non-magical person.
The brushes arrived safe and sound in this beautiful Marauders Map inspired drawstring bag that protects them from dirt and dust, and is perfect for storage in between uses, because I don’t want these getting mixed in with my other makeup brushes and getting damaged.
There are a total of four brushes.
The longest, black wand/brush was inspired by Severus Snape and his wand.
The three smaller brushes were inspired by the trio we all know and love, Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

For those beauty geeks of you who are wondering what types of brushes I got, I got a stippling brush, an eye smudge brush, an eye blending brush, and an eye shading brush. These are extremely soft brushes, and I’m really loving using the eye blending brush the most out of all of them. It really gets into my crease and moves my eyeshadow around in a smooth, even manner.

I have included a close-up of the handles of these brushes so that you can see all of the detail that is put into each brush handle. They truly look as though they were carved right out of a stick.

One cool thing about this company is that they are willing to help you create a custom brush by switching out the brush end. So if you like a certain handle, but want a brush end that’s different from the brush end on that handle, you can simply send them a message and they will do their best to customize the brush to you.

The company is currently working on creating several different wand brushes, so keep your eyes open! They also recently created a wooden storage box (it also comes with 4 brushes!) that looks like a spell-book, so that you can keep your brushes safe and sound. The brushes range in price from $11.00 to $15.00 per brush, or you can purchase them in a set, which range from $28.00-$35.00.

I would recommend these brushes to anyone looking for Harry Potter inspired brushes that are beautifully crafted, and are nice quality brushes to boot. It really is a win-win.

Here is where you can find these positively magical brushes!
